I Love...

Pamela Groppe

 I love to re-member Mervyn’s words:
“Presence is Consciousness Loving You into Existence.”
To me that is remembering oneself in Eternity.
To be Present
and allow The One to Experience Itself through us.
The other night I was having a Higher State,
and I wrote this:
True rebellion
is when the Divinity finds Joy in being You.
When you realize
the filament of light is finding joy in being you.
That is when the Creator experience itself
(The Creation) through you.
That is Presence.
And that gives me a great feeling of Gratitude.

Aim in The Work

Gemini AI Generated Image

We can all understand what aim means in life.
It gives us a direction. Without aim
we are aimless—going nowhere.
The most general definition of what aim means
in the Work-sense is that it is to hear what the
Work teaches and to do what it says.

I Verify...

I verify that my machine
sometimes raises an inner barrier
where finer hydrogens won't come in.
In the distance of my inner world,
I hear the song of conscious beings calling me
to read their works.
When I answer, I am pierced,
and I know I am connecting to the divine.

Think Of The World...

Think of the world that you carry within you,
and call this thinking what you will,
whether it be remembering your own childhood
or yearning toward your own future -
only be attentive to that which rises up in you
and set it above everything that you observe about you.
What goes on in your innermost being
is worthy of your whole love."

The Internal Man

Old Man in Prayer - Rembrandt

"When thou prayest, enter into thine inner chamber,
and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father which
is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret
shall recompense thee. " Matthew vi, 6.

It is only the 'internal Man' in a man that can obtain
response to prayer and can communicate with a higher level.

Shameless Impudence

Gemini AI Generated Image

While the work of parables, as used in the Gospels,
is to provide a venue for the Higher
to communicate with the Lower;
Prayer is the Lower communicating with the Higher.

Because we are not at the same level, there are barriers
in communication and prayers are not easily answered.

Man must insist. A man's prayer, his aim, his request,
must be persisted; it must go on, in spite of not being answered.

He must have shameless impudence.

Only persistence and intensity can cause
the Higher to respond to the Lower.

Search, Search, Search

Prophet Anna - Rembrandt

People should search, search, search;
try to be sincere; not imitate each other;
and respect the truth everywhere…
study something, almost anything,
deeply, from all angles;
try to do original research,
using what we have been given as the key of
understanding.
The system is too big to waste…

The Good Servant

Don Quixote and Sancho Panza Memorial
by Jo Mora

"When the inner man is aware…
we can come to see the body as its servant.
Just keep desiring to serve..
and to see the perfection of yourself,
how beautiful it is?
How much you have transformed
to this point in time?

Then the two can become one-
then step by step keep inviting
the spirit to join that peace

Keep the mind at bay…
but invite it now and again
as a tinder to ignite the soul.

In The Morning...

In the morning,
I slow my breathe down to 4x per minute.
This helps my thoughts to slow down
and for me not to identify with them.
Then I do my prayers and meditations
and sometime take a walk.
While walking I appreciate the beauty of the sky,
the trees, the flowers,
they are miracles.
This helps me to connect to the divine.

The Power of Attention

Gemini AI Generated image

OCTOBER 27, 1949 Attention has the power of holding in a
fixed field certain invisible matter or energy in molecular*
state, which without attention diffuses indefinitely.
This matter in molecular state has all kinds of powers of
penetration, indefinite expansion and contraction, and so on,
which of course the physical organism lacks;
and in certain circumstances, through 'thinking—
visualizing—sensing' exercises done with great attention,
the 'experience' of this matter in molecular state can,
I think, be communicated back to the understanding. Certainly laws*
can be studied in this way with very interesting results.
As I say, I think this idea that attention controls matter
in molecular state is of is of greatest possible importance to us,
and leads to many interesting things indeed.

Morning Supper

The Holy Supper - Leonardo Da Vinci

Today's morning meeting, and all Academy meetings,
reminded me of morning mass, a banquet,
where the hungry is fed from the food of The Highest.

"I am the bread of life.
Whoever comes to me will never be hungry,
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty".
John 6:35

Ut (Do) Re Mi Fa Sol La SI(Ti)

Guido d'Arezzo, Italian Benedictine, Music Theorist (990-1050) - Artist Unknown

Guido of Arezzo drew his inspiration
and the syllables for the solfège system from a prayer in
the Hymn to St. John the Baptist:

Latin: Ut queant laxis Resonāre fibrīs, ra gestōrum famulī tuōrum, Solve pollūtī labiī reātum, Sāncte Iōannēs.

English: So that your servants may, with loosened voices, resound the wonders of your deeds, cleanse the guilt from our stained lips, O Saint John.

Español: Para que tus siervos puedan exaltar a pleno pulmón las maravillas de tus obras, limpia la culpa de nuestros labios manchados, oh, San Juan.

Self-remembering...

Giulio Romano

Self-remembering is like a world without end!
Mervyn emphasis to stay in a state
connected to higher worlds,
 we need to love.
Without love the work is not moving.
I cannot stay and identify with the ordinary time.
There is a need in my work
to remember the universal brotherhood.
They are here to help.
Mervyn was always reminding us
how much the gods are here, now.

As Above, So Below - A Timeless Truth

Fragment of The School of Athens by Raphael

"That which is below is like that which is above,
and that which is above is like that which is below,
to perform the miracles of one only thing."
Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus
translated by Isaac Newton

“Man is an image of the world.
He was created
by the same laws which created
the whole of the world.
By knowing and understanding
himself he will know and understand
the whole world, all the laws that create
and govern the world.” Gurdjieff

"I remember the day when I saw that
God made me in his own likeness and
what was in me was in God and vice versa.
So If I started to study me... I was studying God."
Mervyn Brady

One Must Feed...

 Luis Menedez

“One must feed the soul
as one feeds the body,
for the Soul too can starve.
It needs a more refined food
and as the buffers come down
what once may have fed one,
does not work any longer
and new ways must be discovered.”

Each One Of Us...

Each one of us is so unique
and has much to contribute to the triad of RE Gene er ration.
Each drop of nectar that hits the soul
and dissolves into Spirit,
is returning to God.
We in turn become the eyes,
the ears, the touch, in this world.
And yes,
that is an endless and blissful joy indeed!

In Every Case...

Jules David, ‘Don Quixote and Sancho Panza’, 1887. Wikimedia Commons

"In every case, the remedy is to take action.
Get clear about exactly what it is that you need to learn
and exactly what you need to do to learn it.

BEING CLEAR KILLS FEAR.

Make it thy business to know thyself,
which is the most difficult lesson in the world."

Great Grief...

Great grief can evoke great Love
when it is taken into a triad with the higher.
Sometimes just walking through the day
there is a surge of energy,
a sense of elation
at the wonder and mystery that is life.
Sometimes the soul soars
and the creature feels a bliss of endless joy.

The More One Understands...

Laura Brainard Raborn

The more one understands body types
and the way their own machine operates,
the less one tends to react to the feature.
This of course is if one is working on oneself
and has had moments of self-remembering.
Mechanically,
dominance will evoke willfulness, period.
Even in small things,
dominance makes a statement
and willfulness says no,
reacting without even thinking.
If you catch the moment before you react
(and one must be there to catch it)
then you have a choice.

I Realized This Week...

I realized this week
how I am still being outrun
by the will of the machine.
But, this realization, in turn,
has fueled my desire
to let the will of the Soul come to play.
I need to allow for the will of the Soul,
which I can see,
it just wants to feed in the world.
When I am in the presence of others,
my soul wants to see, it is like,
it wants to be 'spent' by sharing itself with others.
Realizations become like a north star
that can guide us.

The Dignity...

Marc Chagall
Floating in the Blue of Love

The dignity of the artist
lies in his duty of keeping awake
the sense of wonder in the world.
In this long vigil
he often has to vary his methods of stimulation;
but in this long vigil
he is also himself striving against
a continual tendency to sleep.

Working in a School

Thirst - William-Adolphe Bouguereau

Sometimes, I forget that I am in a school and
the teachings require a discipline that goes beyond
reading the beautiful writing in the books;
it must translate into practical understanding.

Mervyn used to say, "Take the time to lift up a glass
of water to your mouth in presence."
We must relearn it all to be done in presence.
Hence comes the question...

what am I working on today?

~T
