Mr. Ouspensky said that to evolve, there must be a certain 
quality in essence, certain acquisitions in personality, 
and a certain kind of circumstances. 
Essence must be receptive; true personality must develop
the capability to learn and to teach, and there must be a 
connection with higher school. 
A mature essence is the result of one’s experiences;
it can become worldly-wise while remaining innocent.
