I find that sometimes I
can be present
with ease and at other times I find it almost impossible.
I
feel as if I'm positively drowning in 'I's!
But one thing that I have
gained from my efforts
is the ability to remember to self-remember.
My
work efforts seem to have created in me
a kind of built-in alarm clock (for want
of a better word)
that continuously urges me to try, continually nudges me
to wake up,
to be aware, to remember to remember.
And when I manage to
become present
then there is a feeling of peace.
