Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn
The idea that if we do not begin
to see
things in ourselves that horrify us,
we cannot evolve.
It is a necessary part
of the process of awakening.
I have verified recently that the machine
can
detour these important glimpses of ourselves
which we need to process and
purify.
It can make us feel guilty, for instance,
and then we start to buffer.
Or it can rationalize these faults,
making them commonplace, so that we can go
back to sleep…
I am trying to make peace with my features, s
o that I can
lovingly let them go, let them be in their proper place.
