How could I Love?



How could I Love?  
This always puzzled me... 
The Saints and Prophets all talk 
about the need to Love more...
But how?
We think we have to Love everybody
...this is folly and naive.

Love is a State, not an action. 
It is too go deep into our interior World
and find where Love resides.
Think of a beautiful moment you shared 
with a loved one in the past.
You will see Love is inside you.

We have to find that Fountain 
 and it will begin to pour onto 
everything and everyone we encounter.
Loving others is not an Intellectual exercise. 
It is a state that will pass onto others.
We have to find the STATE of Love.

The Living School...



 The Living School...

Plants are comprised of roots, stems and leaves. 
A School is like a tree, it is built on years of
efforts from the teacher and the Gods. The roots are 
the foundation: at this level the teacher provides it with 
stability and nourishes it with 'water and nutrients' from 
the Gods. Through time, the roots of the school continue
to grow strong, and weathers many seasons.

Students are the 'leaves' or the fruit of the school. There is 
a popular saying, "You can judge a tree by its fruits." Students
represent the school. The leaves of the tree are the food factory. 
The leaves make food from the sun (photosynthesis), but 
they also need water and nutrients from the roots. Students are
connected to each other through the 'stems.' In Michelangelo's 
Creation of Adam, we see God and the angels making great 
efforts to reach us. It is the student's responsibility to lift a finger.

Finally, the birth of a plant begins with a seed. Just like 
any seed, germination happens under optimal conditions 
that includes darkness, moisture, nutrients and ...the gods. 
How fortunate we are, that the Work found us.

Love is the Reflection...




"Love is the reflection of God's unity in the world of duality.
It constitutes the entire significance of creation. If love were
excluded from life, all souls in the world would assume
externally to each other, and their only possible relations and
contacts would be superficial and mechanical. It is because of
love that the contacts and relations between individual souls
become significant: and it is love that gives meaning to every
happening in the world of duality. But the love that gives
meaning to the world of duality is a standing challenge to it. As
it gathers strength, it generates creative restlessness and
becomes the spiritual dynamic that ultimately succeeds in
restoring to consciousness the original unity of being."

From this quote,  I get a sense that we need the world of duality
in order to create the fusion (energy of union) between the 
two by loving.  In our work, "Loving" is self-remembering
--that is, truly loving: for one cannot do so otherwise. 
In this way we are able to fuse the two opposing elements of 
existence and create/attract something higher. As Baba says, 
without Love, aka self-remembering our  "only possible relations
and contacts would be superficial and mechanical"--something I
think we have all had chances to verify.
Thus, we must strive to "love thine enemies", for, 
"without contraries is no progression."

The Soul is the Heir...




The Soul is the Heir...

The Soul is the Heir to God and the Divine.
The Body is Heir only to its Parents.
The Body was meant to serve the Soul.
However it has failed and generally serves itself.
It has stolen the Life designed to be lived by the Soul.
It has stolen something else too.
The Words of God.
The Bible and his words were for the Soul.
Not the Body.
What has gone wrong with religion is the Body 
has assumed God's words were meant for it.
They were not.
They were meant for the Soul.
Listen to them again.
Deep in our Interior World.
Not with the Intellect.

Gems from William Blake...

Conscious teachings are often paradoxes. 
These quotes lead the mind away from justifying lateral thinking.

The first quote reminds me of Jesus' "love thine enemy." 
The recognition of ones own I's and non identification 
with others would have to include the third force of being present; 
a non mechanical response to life.
The second quote suggests to me 
recurrence and unnecessary suffering. 
Suffering can only make us wise if we bear it and 
let it into our being and understand it.

Rilke said that, "Every angel was terrible." 
In a sense he was transforming himself above life's traumas, 
handing his suffering to the higher and accepting the play.

The third quote  is,a road and a "palace".
The road is life and so much takes place there.
We could even stop on the way and build a house and stay there.
Again, the third force is self remembering, real seeing.
To be on the road is fine, as long as we do not
imagine we really live there.
