Mervyn Used To Say ...

Theodore Robinson

Mervyn used to say
that it is not enough to be present,
but that we needed to bring our being
to everything that we do.
My understanding of this
is that we must try to live each moment consciously,
knowing our features
and working with them in life situations.
The machine is so tricky and fast.
The soul is left behind when a feature kicks in.
So, for me,
the great challenge is to be present to those moments
when the machine wants to take over
and consciously choose the higher right.
This I feel not only requires presence,
but also the effort to be in the Kings,
in order to bring compassion and love to each moment.
