Mervyn would often advise us to " Take note and keep going" when we
had some kind of verification especially if it existed as some sort of
sign or symbol, for example a bird, a piece of music...e.t.c.

After all, it is the state of presence itself which is the highest verification
that triads are in the correct place and not something existing or coming
through the senses. In this way our tradition remains with integrity and
what ever signs or signals arrive, our heart can find Love and
self remembering; the highest possible goal we can attain to.

I like the story of Cinderella as an example of the bindings created in the machine between identification, inner cons​idering, imagination and feminine dominance starting out in our own dark basements with this desire that eventually can provide the third force to light our lamps and continue to keep the oil provided for the arduous task of detaching and working with the ugly step sisters I'S and the feminine dominance aspect of limiting our existence within the limits of the machine . The voice that tells us 'you can't! you shouldn't!'  We have to flip that coin to self remembering as the process speeds towards getting to the dance and outwitting the I's of all the different centers that are intent on limiting our prospects of being with the beloved.

Self remembering allows impressions to go deeper. When enough impressions reach the 'si-do' interval - well you might find yourself walking along the road and a lovely higher state comes to you.  You might ask yourself - what did you do?

It was the build-up of impressions through self remembering.  At a certain point they are 'taken in' to the soul.  Its as though something - 'the soul' reaches and 'pulls' them in.

The only other impressions that pierce the soul are usually ones of great intensity that bridge the intervals.  Unfortunately in our society most of these seem to be unpleasant experiences and so without self remembering a person can end up with a lot more bad memories.  After all, how often do you fall in Love - an intense experience that can reach the soul.

If we want to study human culture, we soon find that all the history, all the historical culture, all the art, all the legends, all Mythology from historical times, deals with a divided world.

They always talk about memories, images, of a united world, an origin of the culture, an origin of knowledge, an origin of science. They vaguely remember when the world had been one, when there was a Golden Age, and if we follow this idea, sooner or later we come to the idea of Atlantis. It has always represented a time, a place where all human culture was united.

The Heart Opens

Often through great suffering or joy, the heart opens and is exposed....I remember one student described this experience as having the feeling of some kind of surgery to the heart where the wound is left open. Through this wound the soul can enter the heart and flow through it into the life of the person and create a great sense of love, joy and peace.....it is an active state of the soul in motion.
