Breakfast with Rumi

How We Move Inside Grace

When our water here
becomes saturated with pollution,
it gets led back to the original water, the ocean.
After a year of receiving starlight,
the water returns, sweeping new robes along.
Where have you been? In the ocean of purity.
Now I am ready for more cleaning work.
If there were no impurity, what would water do?
it shows its glory in how it washes a face,
and in other qualities as well,
the way it grows the grass
and lifts a ship across to another port.
When the river slows with the weight of silt
and corruption, it grows sad and prays:
Lord, what you gave me I gave others.
Is there more? Can you give more?
Clouds draw the water up to become rain;
the ocean takes the river back into itself.
What this means is
we often need to be refreshed.

SOUL'S BREAKFAST - Day Seventy-two

Sisters & Brothers of the Soul:

Special Gratitude to A for "DO"ing this very beautiful octave, which has intensively nourished my Inner World. Reading the others' offerings and preparing mine has given me so many hydrogens! - filling me with Love, bringing me to many Moments of Presence, and at the same time, giving me a very special connection to all of you. I Love you!!!.

In a few days it will be the 4th anniversary of our beloved Mervyn, on the day of our meeting in PV, so we invite you to share a Moment of Presence with us at 8:15 pm (central time).

Let's remember Mervyn with these words that he wrote 9 years ago........

Dear All,

The Academy is changing.

The Pure event for which we have been preparing for such a long and interesting time, is slowly sliding into being - Like waking up one day and realising one is an adult.
Somewhere there was an invisible membrane which divides childhood and adulthood and suddenly without warning one has moved from one to the other.

The Academy is different.

It is no longer the School we started so many years ago in Miranda's house in London.
The room was lit by a Globe of the Earth that Miranda had bought for her Son.
I remember saying to this little group of people
"You have no idea what is been concieved here tonight"
And the Light inside the Globe went out.
This was not imagination, it may have been coincidence.

4 of the 5 people who were there, are still in The Academy and that was 11 years ago.
We now have branches in LA, Austin, New York, South Africa, Vancouver, Tucson, Mexico,  now Chicago and of course London, with Germany patiently waiting.

We have been given more abilities since then and I do feel that -- whoever C Influence are -- I trust they are pleased with their work.
For I know that nothing could have been different ... Nothing.

I have watched each of you over the years being carved from your original shells and I have been honoured to watch your respective unfoldings.
I have learned so much from you all by seeing through your senses and feeling your feelings, both joyful and sorrowful.

The hard work of splitting in the dark underground like a seed has been done and we have prevailed into the light. We are now like the plant growing and soon something of indescribable beauty will emerge ... Our Flowering, followed in due course by our Fragrance.

I want to thank you all for your part in this, a most divine play

Love
Mervyn  (2001)

Wishing you a weekend full of Hydrogens..........

In Loving Presence...

SOUL'S BREAKFAST - Day Seventy-one

Sisters and Brothers of he Soul:

This poem touches me deeply. It was written by Rilke and inspired by this Bottichelli "Pieta" and by the sculpture of Jesus and Mary Magdalene that he observed in Rodin’s studio.
In Loving Presence…….
P

Mary Magdalene

Jesus, I gaze upon your feet once more,
Before, when I tentatively washed them, they were like a boy’s.
How they tangled in my hair,
Like a white deer in a briar.

Tonight for the first time I can see your limbs,
Without caress until now,
We never lay together,
And now I can only adore them and remain awake.

Your hands: how they have been torn my beloved
But not by me, not by my mouth,
Your heart is open and anyone can enter,
When for me alone should have been the entrance.

Now you are tired, and your weary lips
Have no desire for my aching mouth.
O Jesus, Jesus when did any hour belong to us?
How strangely we both now perish

~Rainer Maria Rilke

SOUL'S BREAKFAST - Day Seventy

Sisters and Brothers of the Soul:
Today I want to share with you a prayer that is attributed to St. Franciss of Asis that lately I have been praying during mornings before beginning my day.
In Loving Presence
P…..

LORD, MAKE ME AN INSTRUMENT OF THY PEACE;
WHERE THERE IS HALTRED, LET ME SOW LOVE
WHERE THERE IS INJURY, PARDON;
WHERE THERE IS DOUBT, FAITH,
WHERE THERE IS DESPAIR, HOPE;
WHERE THERE IS DARKNESS, LIGHT;
AND WHERE THERE IS SADNESS, JOY.

OH DIVINE MASTER,
GRANT THAT I MAY NOT SO MUCK SEEK TO BE CONSOLED AS TO CONSOLE;
TO BE UNDERSTOOD, AS TO  UNDERSTAND;
TO BE LOVED, AS TO LOVE;
FOR IT IS IN GIVING THAT WE RECEIVE,
IT IS IN FORGIVING, THAT WE ARE FORGIVEN,
AND IT IS IN DYING THAT WE ARE BORN TO ETERNAL LIFE.
AMEN

SOUL'S BREAKFAST - Day Sixty-nine

Sisters and Brothers of the Soul,

Today I want to share with you some quotes that have fed my inner world, from Rodney Collin -- taken from the book "The Mirror of Light."

I send you all a huge hug with the arms of my Soul.

In Loving Presence.........A Moment with you.....

P

"The life we live, the world we live in, is a mirage, If we understand a mirage we understand a miracle."

"To love is not an emotion nor a sensation, nor an idea; it is the particular kind of irradiation that only a certain type of action can produce in us."

"If we think of ourselves everything goes wrong.  If we forget ourselves we can do right. We cannot love everybody, but we are here to project harmony."

"Where there is pardon there is love. Forgiveness is humility.  Where there is humility there is love.  Where there is love there is no condemning, because we feel there is nothing to forgive."

"The bridge between conscience and the body is recognition: Is the Soul."

SOUL'S BREAKFAST - Day Sixty-eight

Sisters and Brothers of the Soul:

Continuing with the Love topic, I want to share with you a beautiful poem of Rumi.

P

THE WINDOW BETWEEN HEARTS

Surely there is a window from heart to heart:
They are not separate and far from each other.
Though two earthenware lamps are not joined,
Their light mingles.
No lover seeks union without the beloved seeking;
But the love of lovers makes the body thin as a bowstring,
while the love of loved ones makes them shapely and pleasing.
When the lightning of love for the beloved
has shot into this heart, ¡know! that there is love in that heart,
When love for God has been doubled in your heart,
there is no doubt that God has love for you.
When the Love for Him has been multiplied in  your heart,
Noise of claps does not come from just one hand,
the thirsty one claims
"Oh delicious water", and the water says: "who is the one that will drink me"?
This thirst of our Soul is the Water magnetism:
We Belong to it and it Belongs to us.

SOUL'S BREAKFAST - Day Sixty-seven

Brothers and Sisters of the Soul:

As Hafiz expresses:

The subject tonight is Love
And for tomorrow as well,
As a matter of fact
I know of no better topic
For us to discuss
Until we all
Die!

And from our beloved Mervyn:

I can open materials and peer
into their depths and construction.
I can see what they were before,
and how time will transform them again.
Sound and music reveal their secrets …
Cascading into heavenly movements in my soul.
… And love …
The greatest mystery …
crescendos in loving all the creation…
Because I love me …
And I am all creation …
Because I bear the stamp … of the creator.

Have a week full of Love................

SOUL'S BREAKFAST - Day Sixty-six

Sisters & Brothers of the Soul:

Today I share with you a quote from the Budda and a Sufi poem that speak for themselves.
In Loving Presence.
P

ANYTHING YOU CAN SEE, HEAR, OR TOUCH, IS NOT REAL.
WHATEVER YOU CLING TO AS IF IT WAS PERMANENT, IS NOT REAL.
ANYTHING THE MIND CAN THINK IS NOT REAL.
THE ROOT OF SUFFERING IS ILLUSION, AND THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE ILLUSION,
IS TO STOP BELIEVING IN THE SEPARATE “I”, AND IN THE WORLD THAT SUPPORTS IT…..
BUDDA

WHOEVER IS CHAINED TO THE WORLD, SUFFERS MORE.
WHOEVER IS FREE OF ATTATCHMENT, SUFFERS LESS.
A MULE WITH A LOUDER BELL, ALWAYS ATTRACTS A HEAVIER LOAD.

SOUL'S BREAKFAST - Day Sixty-five

Sisters and Brothers of the Soul:
Last night in our meeting, we enjoyed wonderful Moments, sharing Presence, listening angelical music; a beautiful energy was felt covering all of us with Love.
In deep Gratitude for having had the opportunity to have Mervyn in my way, for being in such a beautiful School, and for having you All, I want to share a quote from our beloved Mervyn.
P

I desire each and everyone of you to evolve to your maximum potential.

So do the Gods who long before have incessantly prepared you all for a great happening.

What has been missing and now must be replaced is your Desire to awaken.

Eros and I are ready to serve you and that is not all.

There are other Gods in the wings waiting to emerge too.

Love to you all,

Mervyn
