Between The Lines...

 Between the Lines,
 Those imperfect utterances
which hide so much of our real wishes, intentions and desires.
 There dwelling in isolation
 Often misunderstood
The embrace, caress and desire of the Soul.
 Released now
From the confines of the lines
The Soul rushes forward into the Unknown Regions.
 Which contain limitless energy,
 Such intoxicating suggestions of delight.
 Now with trembling shyness
 We advance willingly
 Into the delicious dance
 Which has lurked nearby
 For so long.
 With incredible patience and Faith
 That one day
 The scenario would arrive
 Which would unleash
 Such Love, Tenderness and Energy.
 My Love

Our Job Is...

William Merritt Chase

Our job is to "Know Ourselves".
In doing so we too can learn to "get around" the mechanics.

It Is In The Moment...

Dante Gabriel Rossetti

It is in the moment where we are “Vulnerable”
that Love can pierce.
Often the machine
does not like to be vulnerable
and to be present.
Again and again over time
eases the soul out of its hiding place.

There Was A Question ...

There was a question that Mervyn used to ask
almost every time he met with a student.
"How is your Inner World?"
One wants to say, "Great!" or simply "Here."
But that may not be the case.
Regardless, when the question came,
one was propelled into Presence.
But sometimes,
the urge to explain the events of the personal play
was overwhelming and the flood of I's would come.
We love to tell our stories.
And he, along with many others, has heard mine!
My question is:
does the question "How is your Inner World?"
have anything to do with our personal play?

Fear Does Not ...

Fear does not stop death,
it stops life,
and worrying does not take away
tomorrow's troubles,
it takes away today's peace.

Cultivate The Habit ..

Cultivate the habit of being grateful
for every good thing that comes to you,
and to give thanks continuously.
And because all things have contributed to your advancement,
you should include all things in your gratitude.

When We Were Discussing...

When we were discussing fairy tales
I had a very clear image of Pinnochio.
It occurred to me,
in order for him to become a real man
he had to cut all of his strings.
That resonated with me
with the importance of breaking connections
that bind us to the mechanical world.
Our accounts, regrets, resentments etc.
anything that binds us and leaves us identified
or attached to something that will lower our vibration
and keep us in world 96 or denser.
Pinocchio had a Fairy God Mother,
who granted his wish to be a real boy.
This transformation didn’t occur so quickly.
It wasn’t until he lived a life
where he made many mistakes, and bad choices.
He wouldn’t even listen to Jiminy Crickett
on his shoulder (his conscience)
trying to guide him with good judgement.
He desperately needed his fairy Godmother
to make the spark that made him a real boy
and shed his strings.
It happened,
but only through the love of his Creator/Father Geppetto,
he finally became FREE.

Our Lord...

Our Lord has written the promise of
resurrection,
not in books alone
but in every leaf of springtime.

We Are Loved...

We are loved by an unending love.
We are braced by arms that find us
even when we are hidden from ourselves.

We are touched by fingers that soothe us
even when we are too proud for soothing.
We are counseled by voices that guide us
even when we are too embittered to hear.
We are loved by an unending love.

We are supported by hands that uplift us
even in the midst of a fall.
We are urged on by eyes that meet us
even when we are too weak for meeting.
We are loved by an unending love.

Embraced, touched, soothed, and counseled...
ours are the arms, the fingers, the voices;
ours are the hands, the eyes, the smiles;
We are loved by an unending love.

Blessed are you, Beloved ONE, who loves your people Israel.

Over The Past Few Years...

Over the past few years in the school,
I have appreciated the growth
of moving away from the concept of having a well oiled machine
or being “good” or trying to be "perfect".
Instead have moved into a newer world of trusting my whole being,
the good, the bad, the inspirational, the cranky.
It is not without the constant help of higher energies
that I move forward in my growth in the school,
as well as the constant love and reminders from my fellow students.
I could not grow without you.
We are all such clear mirrors for each other
on this beautiful and magical path.
How grateful I am for this unusual and often difficult process.

There Has Been This Recurrence ...

Stuart Davis

There has been this recurrence
that has been going on
within my own work.
My machine wanting to fix my machine.
A real struggle, hard work!
As the layers of this onion slowly start to peel,
I see how many,
many moments it comes again
that I must in a way bare my mechanics
and my little crosses if you may.
Be with it as much as I can bear.
Such an ease arises then.
Not as much hard work.
The lion and lamb laying down together.

Prayer Is An Act ...

Edward Burne-Jones

Prayer is an act of love;
words are not needed.
Even if sickness distracts from thoughts,
all that is needed is the will to love.
