Observing

 Observing...

(Note: Machine = Mind/Body and "I's" = thoughts)

You have to observe your machine to see what part of your machine the “I’s” are coming from. The “I’s” are there in your machine all the time; while they are quiet, you may not be aware of them, but when something happens to the machine, the “I’s” in the part of the machine where something is happening get ACTIVE. If you are present enough when the “I’s” get ACTIVE, you can catch the “I’s” and then look deeper into them to see what part of the machine the “I’s” are coming from, and why. And then you can fix whatever has gone wrong. It is like being bitten by a bug (that is what the “I’s” do to us) and if we do nothing, we may get bitten again and again until we get one disease or another and if we do nothing still, we may die. In the same way, the “I’s” incessantly strike at our self-remembering. We must constantly watch the “I’s” and look deeper into them to see what needs to be corrected, and correct them, so we can be.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness...

Forgiveness comes in many forms
and need not be belabored.
Forgiving yourself is the greatest gift
and allows “The Higher”  to reach
your Soul.

Our Presence

Our Presence...

What our Presence does
is put consciousness into action.
And the love we have to give,
our love we give,
will bridge the interval between
our Higher and our lower parts.

I am connected
to everything in the world.
This is my own real-I-sation,
the real "I" that is my
third force  (motivation)
for keeping on with my Work.

I am essentially one particle
 in the web of consciousness,
and when my little,
loving particle shines like a lamp
at the door,
 the Gods notice.

The Ultimate Measure

The Ultimate Measure...

The ultimate measure of a person
is not where they stand in moments
 of comfort and convenience,
but where they stand in times
of challenge and controversy.

The Possibility of Experiencing...

The Possibility of Experiencing...

Is this Life a preparation to the Eternal Life
or is the Eternal Life a preparation to this Life?

Why very often  do we wait until the last moments to be in our essence and in our hearts and only then we speak all words that we never had the courage to speak before? Why do we have to wait? Can we instead learn how to live in our hearts and constantly connect at that level not only with students but with any other person we encounter in life? We are given many opportunities for us to heal, yet are we seeing them?

What a Gift for us to be Together in this path of Life and have the possibility of experiencing the Presence of our Souls, to be Present to the many Deaths of the old and to be Reborn again and again as we are still living in the material world.

Is this Life a preparation to the Eternal Life
or is the Eternal Life a preparation to this Life?

In Service...

In Service...

When a man and a woman may say they are in love, they
are not. Love has visited them. Love was not either of them,
but what their respective presences attracted.

When Love has arrived they must "Serve" it or it will turn
against them. When one or other of the partners no longer
serves Love, the Trinity is broken and pain ensues. How sad
it is for a partner who is diligently serving the Love arrival
only to find the other partner was serving something more
base;  lust or ambition, etc.

In the same way man and Soul may or not "Click" and be

visited by Love.  Here once again Soul AND Man must serve
Holy Spirit otherwise it becomes a mirror image of ordinary
Man and Woman serving or not serving what has been bestowed
on them.

Both Outer and Inner

Both Outer and Inner...

Because we are both, outer and inner, cellular and molecular, human beings live multidimensional lives. At this moment we live in, we are in two places at once.

One is the outer, the cellular, the visible, sensual world, where everything happens, where our body is subject to all the forces of nature “out there.” The rain wets our skin and the sun burns it; we will freeze to death in winter without shelter; and the assault of germs and viruses makes our cells sick.

But we also occupy the inner, the molecular world, where all these things change. If we get into the bathtub, our inner world doesn’t get wet. The limitations of physical life count for much less in the inner world, perhaps needing to separate from a few more ‘self-pity Is’, and often count for nothing.

The cold of winter doesn’t freeze your memories; the heat of a July night doesn’t make us sweat in our dreams.

And our Work is to divide attention between the two worlds and be present.

To both worlds.  And in both worlds.  But not of them.

Remember...

 Remember...
Remember the beauty
and power of Love
that you carry
in your heart and soul.

Then remember
that you are in
the hands of God...

Our Work in Life

Our Work in Life...

Our meetings are the heartbeat of the Academy; where the
Gods nourish our soul and where we can feed each other.
They are a safe haven and a place of inner peace.  They are, however,
but one aspect of our Work. It is truly a gift when we are graced with
higher energy, but as students, we must be able to take that energy
and apply it to our work and life.

No matter what we do, it will be met with denying force (obstacles),
which usually are our own or another's mechanics. As philosophers this
should not surprise us or turn us off. It should be expected. It is
our ability to work through this denying force, and the mechanical
frustration that it causes, which shows our muster as a student.
We must be able to take our Work beyond the meeting and manifest it
in life and our work together. If we cannot, then we are not being
honest with ourselves or each other.

You Too

 You Too...

You too will find your strength ...

I deeply feel that I am living in a special time where I am constantly tested.

It is in a period like this one that I have the opportunity to apply all tools that I have learned in the previous times and embrace with faith what comes, trusting that I will find my strength ...
No more time for imagination, inner considering,
unnecessary I's ...

It is time for forgiveness of myself and others, for letting go .......

It is in a special time like this one that I need to be constantly present, remembering to create the space for the entrance of the Higher ... and Be ...... It is an amazing gift when I can sense the real me like a fragrance from a nearby garden... like a shaft of sunlight in a sickroom.

Strive to Evolve

Normally, people in life spend a lot of time expressing
and feeling negativity. It has become so habitual that most
people even take it as normal, and sometimes even are proud
of how well they express it.

In a School of Regeneration, students strive to evolve and
regenerate into something higher. They have to be more careful.

In the Work we try and not express negativity.  This is how we
can best study it. This is and has to be an ongoing situation,
just as the effort to have our Soul present must be.

Silence and Peace

Silence and Peace...

Truth is a place; a state in which one finds herself
embraced by silence and peace.
How divine one becomes when no questions emerge…
In this space of emptiness, we have to wait patiently,
for God is waiting to fulfill us
with his treasure,
Love.

Nourishing Your Soul

Nourishing Your Soul....

There is a huge difference between listening to someone speaking
from "False Personality" and a "feature" and a person "speaking"
while they are Present. I have seen students work becoming very
weak. They use words like "interval", "Dark Night of the Soul",
"Am I in the right School?", "Perhaps I should start working Alone?"
and so on. They rarely consider........."Am I starving?"...."Is my
Inner World so weak because it has not been nourished?"

When the instinctive center (body centered brain) is sick...it starts
to refuse food.  One of the dangers a Teacher looks for in a Student
is when they start to reject "The Food" of the Soul. Not requiring this
food is a sign of a Soul on the wane. This is what Homer meant when
he said:  "He whom the Gods are about to caste down........They first
remove his understanding".

In other words as the Worlds  the student operates from plunge down,
so does his understandings from the Higher Worlds.

When you eat today..Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and lots of tid bits in
between....learn a lesson from the Creature.....It feeds itself and
will not function properly if it does not receive sufficient
nourishment.

So it is with the Soul.

First...give it Life by Remembering it...and then,

MAKE SURE YOU FEED IT

In the Center of the Flood

In the Center of the Flood

The more I read Emerson the more I enjoy his writings.  I share with you this quote and as 'I' place myself in the full center of that flood ... in a perfect contentment ... I connect with each one of you and send you Love ...
~A

The whole course of things goes to teach us faith. We need only obey. There is guidance for each of us, and by lowly listening we shall hear the right word.... Place yourself in the middle of the stream of power and wisdom which flows into you as life, place yourself in the full center of that flood, then you are without effort impelled to truth, to right, and a perfect contentment.

Now!

Now!

It is far more valuable to study why one is awakening instead of
studying why one went asleep. Awakening is a far greater miracle
than sleeping. Modern psychology is obsessed with the past.
The Work is NOW!  Yes, this very moment.

Longing For Light...

Longing for Light...

-->
The dark night of the soul surrounds us
and pushes us down to the core
of our deepest troubles, imagination and fears.
If we feed it, it will become larger than life
and we will cease to exist.
 Consumed.

To escape the dark night of the soul,
the effort of self-remembering can create the spark
where light can be seen amongst the darkness.

Buried souls long for freedom.
If there is a glimmer of self-remembering,
the smallest spark of light
can propel the desperate soul to search
and search to soothe their longing.
No obstacle is too great.

Eye to Eye...

The eye to eye glance
is the most direct route when connecting
student to student to the soul;
then Love emanates.

To Long Before Everything

To Long Before Everything....

Of the many things I learned from my teacher, was that he protected his Inner World at all costs.  He understood the pull of the of the lower energies and their inexhaustible desire to consume the higher - to consume him. As a result, his responses and reactions in certain situations did not meet the righteousness and rules of the mechanical world. He angered some when he did not respond as they would want or expect.

It seems to me that as students on this path, one of our main aim is to guard and protect, value and serve the State of consciousness that is being awoken in us.  This may not manifest as being warm and fuzzy; quite the opposite, in-fact.  As Rodney says, we must find the part of us that "longs before everything to wake up. Once we do, we need to shield it with all that we are and release ourselves from how our efforts to do so appear to the world of Life.

Forsaking

"Forsake spiritual lethargy and melancholia.."

~Paramahansa Yoganada

The evenings, soon before going to bed, are often difficult for me.  The machine (mind/body) likes to do a reassessment of the day, which can turn into a series of self-critical and frankly negative I's...The machine likes to beat itself up and put itself down, which allows it to fall into a state of melancholia.  It is in that state that I will sometimes fall asleep for the night.  Knowing this presents an opportunity to change the triad and introduce higher energy into the moment when this begins to occur.

I would be a liar if I said that sometimes "I" don't feel like making efforts. That is a dangerous admission because it sounds like an excuse....and truthfully, those thoughts don't last long. But the machine is very clever and can persuade one to do or not do whatever it wants. I think it serves to me as a reminder of how delicate this Work can be..and how, with a whisper, can disappear.  Additionally, it reminds me that I need to be honest with myself and remember my aim, because the time is now and life is passing.  It's funny how easily and often one can put off that which one claims to be the most important part of their life.  There simply is no time for this.
