All Of It...

All of it, with openness.
And I know, if I can keep this openness
I will be partnered in the body soul and spirit,
a harmony while living in all worlds.
I have learned a little deeper
to be comfortable with the unknown
and to not know.

Jeanne de Salzmann...

Jeanne de Salzmann writes of "staying in front".
And I've grappled with this saying for a while.
I've come to understand that we must
put our "ordinary self" in the background.
To lead and to allow our higher self lead the way.
Or rather to keep the higher in front
so that the energies come through it.
AND TO BE PATIENT.

Til Time And Spaces...

"Til time and spaces have passed over him",
what an incredible way to say that when we walk,
struggle, wrestle through our days and feel the disgrace,
the envy, our discontentment, etc.
that Shakespeare speaks of.
That's when (if we truly want to be more)
we transform our ordinary state
through love, presence, beauty.
But it’s just words and nice i's, isn't it,
until when we commit to this moment
and offer ourselves.

Be Here Now....

"Seneca"
by Peter Paul Rubens

It's ruinous for the soul to be anxious about the future
and miserable in advance of misery,
engulfed by anxiety that things it desires
might remain its own until the very end.
For such a soul will never be at rest-
longing for things to come
it will lose the ability to enjoy
present things

I Cannot Disappear...

Leo Tolstoy

I feel not only that I cannot disappear,
as nothing disappears in the world,
but that I will always be and have always been.
I feel that, besides me, above me, spirits live,
and that in this world
there is
truth.

Give Me Your Hand....

Rainer Maria Rilke

God speaks to each of us as he makes us,
then walks with us silently out of the night.
These are the words we dimly hear:
You, sent out beyond your recall,
go to the limits of your longing.
Embody me.
Flare up like flame
and make big shadows I can move in.
Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.
Don’t let yourself lose me.
Nearby is the country they call life.
You will know it by its seriousness.
Give me your hand.

Embracing the Eternal Now...

When we get identified,
lose the moment, fall into judgment,
get stuck in our center of gravity --
the door handle to the Higher is within,
staying present and then being Graced.
One of the things I value most of this Academy is the diversity.
Religious, spiritual.
Our Teachers.
Conscious Men and Women from all corners of the world.
All paths.
Art. Philosophy. Music. Religion.
There are infinite paths to the infinite.
It is only the human ego that needs to feel "chosen"
or "special" compared to others.
We are "chosen" when we leave behind our features
and mechanics,
and embrace the eternal NOW.

The Good and the Light

C.S. Lewis wrote about the "the problem of evil".
He spoke in a way that helped me
when he pointed out that, were we not to have free will,
there would be no merit in our evolution,
in our aspirations towards the Good,
but as there is a CHOICE,
Ah, then evil comes in.
And so as students. we study how to embody the Good,
the positive, the LIGHT
and help it radiate
far and wide.

Beauty...

Beauty cannot only feed our souls,
slowly, over time,
but in some cases can act like a thunderbolt
so that our soul soars.
