The Topic of Payment...

The topic of Payment 

is one that I've been grappling with, 

what do I sacrifice for awakening,

is it coming from the right place? 

Am I sacrificing something, 

a feature from my false self, 

the personality, 

OR am I confused and sacrificing something 

that is true to my essence? 

I can pray and ask for guidance 

and hopefully come from within from love, 

and allow the process to take place.

It Reminds Me...

I Feel So Often...

 I feel so often the hand of the higher in the moments of my life, 

protecting me from harm, 

but also allowing me a window 

into the ways life could be so different 

with out grace. 

So often in moments of great difficulty, 

I am given glimpses like this, 

reminding me that an unseen hand 

is always not so far away, 

and that the difficulties I face are in themselves great gifts 

that I will somehow, 

with higher aid, 

always be able to learn from.

The Soul Cannot Enter...

The soul cannot enter into the fusion of divine love 

with its shadow clinging to its skirt. 

It must strip itself of identification with the small self

and step naked into the garden where the Beloved is waiting.

The closer the soul approaches on its journey home to God,

the more ferocious is the resistance of the fragmented self.

and the fragmented self does not want to be made whole. 

But because only God is real,

the "no" ultimately disappears in the radiance

of divine love like a broken heart that heals 

the instant the dreamer wakes in the night 

to feel the arms of her true love holding her close,

I Have Experienced...

I experience a calming, humble sensation,

Gratitude Can Be...

Gratitude can be such a powerful antidote to negativity.

So often negative emotions are caused by expectation.

We expect something to happen 

and when it doesn't happen as we want it, 

we have negative 'I's.

To look for what I can be grateful for in each situation

that Presence presents me with

cuts through my negativity and brings me closer to the Higher.
