Meeting: San Diego January 12, 2011

Last night E and I were fortunate to have S with us on a visit from Los Angeles. A friend of ours joined us for a meeting in our living room as well. She is new to the work. As an introduction, we discussed the centers of gravity.

The conversation was light and informative, with each of us eliminating our knowledge, understanding, and being through the deck of cards. There was a fire burning in the fireplace, and the room was filled with silent hydrogens. It was a night to remember.

I have, as many students have, taken part in countless centers of gravity discussions, and for me, these meetings each have a sense of awe in them. For our higher centers sense there is a timelessness in the history and in the wisdom that is revealed. It seems to be a simple set of cards. But, like a hidden passage to a new world, the cards provide a way to verify one's machine, and to observe others in a new light. It is simple and yet complex. Just like the work.

So, with today being Gurdjieff's birthday, I invite you to take a moment to remember the very beginning of your work. Maybe take an opportunity to lay out the cards once again. In whatever way you choose, give birth anew to the beauty and connectedness that resides in your inner world.

With Love and Presence,
J
