"Love of Need" serves the mechanics; "I "need" you to serve my vanity." "I "need" you to follow the rule I set in place, etc. Love of Appreciation is of the Soul. The Soul is already complete, it has no "needs."
Love of the Higher is an experience, it is not a verb; it is a State and is unconditional.
