I find that mechanically, once I have taken on an octave,
I cannot bear to stop until I have finished.
So much I want to do,
and I have to learn to have a wider perspective,
so that I don't start something
which will end up being just too much.
Efforts can turn into compulsion,
leaving me identified,
then my moving center takes over,
and there is no space left for the unexpected,
for the moment that the miraculous can come to visit.
In fact, something amazing may take place,
and my machine will be keeping me so busy that I hardly notice.
