In the Peace Pagoda in Pokhara,
I found a peculiar statue of Lord Buddha.
With one hand pointing up and the other down.
It reminded me of the painting of
The Academy by Rafael, only there,
Plato is pointing up and Aristotle down.
This reminds me of the Sufi saying:
“Being in the world but not from this world”
