Dearest Sisters and Brothers,
One by one fifty two students representing most of the
groups of the Academy arrived at the Guest House
in Connecticut for a retreat to celebrate the life
and Work of Mervyn Brady and his aim
of Conscious Harmony.
We have our hosts to thank in the Long Island group
for their hospitality and tireless efforts
who brought us together to become one group,
the Academy Collective.
The presence of our beloved friends and teachers, Mervyn and John Grepe,
along with the Angels were deeply felt as they descended within
providing us with the retreat that each one of us needed.
In gratitude to Them…
Our hearts opened, filling our vessels with God’s mercy.
Guided by Their wisdom the presentations unfolded,
each beginning where the other ended.
Our names faded, accents merged,
until we were speaking the same language.
We shed tears of laughter, joy and sorrows
as our knots were untied.
Our darkest places were Illuminated, shedding light
on our fears, vanity and senseless thoughts.
We joined the Circle of Angels
greeting the nameless within.
We reached up to heaven and hailed
the Divinity in our hearts.
We shared communion with each other,
Mother Nature, and with God.
We were one.
In times of need, we served one another and our souls.
We embraced old friends and made new ones
for God’s sake.
We were given the sweet taste of honey
in celebration of the return towards brotherly love.
We were pierced by musical harmony
through Voice and Instrument.
Through art we were lead on a path of Higher Love.
We moved, we meditated, and through breath
we were filled with His inspiration.
By the end of the weekend,
the guest house became Our Home.
Now that the retreat is finished,
I hope that I will be able
to use the inspiring gifts my brothers
and sisters have given me,
and also to share them with others.
