Our Work is Always With Us..

These beautiful words from Michel Montaigne drive home the point that our Work is always with us. What good is our Work if we throw it out the window when we leave students or the meeting setting? Rodney Collin points out that we cannot pick and choose which ideas or aspect of the Work we will work on, for if we do, what we ignore we will face it in the future. This has been so difficult for me over the years, as I have many relationships in which habitual behaviors and patterns manifest, and are so difficult to change. Like almost anything, it is easier not to challenge the status-quo of our mechanics. How fortunate we are to have been given the opportunity to observe and refine our mechanics and work towards the awakening of our soul. It is up to us to be honest and not allow the machine to make excuses or establish the rules for our evolution, for that is definitely a losing proposition!

Acceptance

I have verified, through this years of Work in the School how the cycle of recurrence is constant. So we have to experience, as individuals and as a group, everything: friction, intervals and crime. Also healing, growth, harmony, etc. All of this as part of our evolution.

Many times when I’m passing through an interval or an episode of crime, I have received the angle: “acceptance helps to pass through this”. And many times I have verified that it is true. However, lately I have noted that there’s another element I can access to through my attitude and intention, to live those moments. This element is valuation.

Due to the Divine Grace that shines on us from the Superior Worlds I am reminded of the valuation for all that has been given to me: learning, healing, growth, regeneration, love, and the company of such fabulous beings like all of you, my friends!

From this acceptance and valuation gratitude is ignited, this serves as a great fuel that lightens again my desire to continue through this process towards our liberation and back to our Creator.

Desire can be expressed through passion and harmony, finally illuminating Union with everything.These days of rest and introspection, I light up my Inner candles, helped by the Divine Grace and my Inner World, which shall remain during winter.

When Love...

When Love is projected from the soul, there is complete peace like in the hug you described. No need to own it, to keep it. We are free to Love from that place and never feel a lack, a longing or a separation. That for me is again about this knowing that we cannot own anyone’s love. No one belongs to us. Everything is so transient, except the eternal part in us that knows what is real and what could never be lost or given away.

A New Understanding

"Nothing belongs to us except the Love of God."

These words from Rodney Collin rushed into my heart with a new understanding. If I am really in the work with all my heart and soul, I am not looking to possess anything, to improve my life or my being or to have more higher states. I am here to accept all that is given in order to project and serve God's will. I have verified that everything that happens in my life, and all the people that come into my world are part of a design that does not belong to me. I am an instrument of a higher plan. If I can recognize that, I can be free of identifications and personal desires. I can focus on balance, harmony and projecting kindness. The ultimate freedom comes when we can hold on and seal inside ourselves the One Love, the One Source that really does belong to us and know that is our only true possession and destiny.

Presents...

The gods sit, waiting for us to unwrap the presents and packages that await us. Once a year, we celebrate our birthdays and are given gifts. For a student, though, every moment of the day marks the possibility of birth of the soul, and it is up to us to recognize the gifts that come in many disguises. Sometimes full of pleasure, while others appear quite painful. Hardly seeming like a gift to the ordinary, but underneath it all, we know that we can learn and grow immensely from our friction and suffering. They are all ‘gifts.’

Stillness

A Moment of Stillness

Perhaps the most difficult and important thing is to learn to wait. And when one asks oneself what one is waiting for, one begins to realize that it is for a moment of stillness, without attachment to the past or future. For in such a moment all kinds of exercises and perceptions become possible which are never available when one is hurrying into the future or out of the past.

It seems to us that the important times are those when much is happening, much is required, and one is hypnotized by motion. It may be quite different. Now I begin to feel that all that is important comes in quietness and waiting; and that activity should be only the working out, the digesting and putting forth of what one learned, so that one may become empty again to receive more.

As an active type I often have friction with 'quiet' times. It is important to use those periods of time for digestion. The process of digestions is extremely important for our evolution. The machine (mind/body) wants activity and does not realize that too much motion can be a buffer.

Divine Gift

Divine Gift...

It is just a constant work .... always .... all-ways.
Acceptance of what we are and what others are.

Trusting that the Plan written in God's Book
will bring us to a constant evolution.
Yet we need to work taking care of both worlds and
trusting that we are accepted, we are loved ... and we
need to be the first ones to accept and Love
ourselves. If we do this we will be open to receive
the Eternal Love of God because we will know, without
any doubt, that we are ready for It. If we do this we
will be open to give back the Divine Gift.
