heart to a force outside our circle of life which alone can alter things
there, is the only possibility in certain insoluble
circumstances. But surely we must cry to be shown the way out, to be shown
the unseen ladder out of the impasse, and be very ready to accept 'whatever' is
shown. Then if some new idea, some new light comes into one's heart --- as
it will --- one must be prepared to obey courageously. If one does
so, one will be led out of the maze.”
