The Sense of Sight

Annie Louisa Swynnerton, The Sense of Sight,
1895, Oil on canvas, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, England

Dear All,
  We can learn things,
We “Hear” them externally,
And then we “Hear” them internally.
We can know things,
but oh that beautiful moment when
understanding enlightens us and we can finally “See.”

There is a Dawning illustrated by the Sun coming up in the background.
Seeing this expression on a Student’s face is my currency.
It is this moment when the Teacher and the Student or
God and Man become one.

Love,
Mervyn
