Patience

by Leonardo da Vinci

Patience serves as a protection against wrongs as clothes do against cold.
For it you put on more clothes as the cold increases, it will have no power to hurt you.
So in like manner you must grow in patience when you meet with great wrongs,
and they will then be powerless to vex your mind.

~Leonardo da Vinci

How many times I heard my Mother tell me, "Patience is a virtue!"
The art of growing a soul is indeed a joy,
yet to labour for something of such great price and beauty to develop,
it would be prudent to put this virtue into practice more often.

  1. Patience is an expression of compassion, which in turn, is an expression of the state of being known to be love.
